Goats, Sheep, and KITTENS!

I was given the honor of eating at the Karper’s estate again last night, which was a wonderful breather after a rather long and tiring day at work. During dinner, it was brought up that their neighbors were wondering who I was. The wife mentioned seeing a little girl in one of the Karper’s trees, to which Mama Karper started to refer to me as the little tree faerie, while I remember waving to the husband on a couple of occasions when he was mowing the lawn while I was on a walk.

So after dinner, Karper and I went over to their neighbor’s house to see the goats and sheep while walking the dog. The husband was feeding his little herd, and said that the mothers to be were all due in about a week! I think there were about 9 of them expecting relatively all at the same time! That will be quite a task to deal with when it comes to delivery! He also mentioned how he liked the conical hat I wore the last we saw each other, thinking it would be a good hat to wear out in the hot sun and such. Well…that is the reason I wear it on my walks. XD Papa Karper says I remind him of a character from the Kung Fu series from the 70’s whenever I wear my hat with my walking stick.

I decided to take pictures of the goats and sheep, because I remember seeing them before the first time I went over to the Karper’s house…and later telling my friend about them. She got all nostalgic on me, so I thought I’d let her go down memory lane again. The neighbor didn’t seem to mind and welcomed me to take as many as I wanted, and to come and see them again sometime. I’m eager to see all the kids running around!

Afterwards, while Karper and Papa Karper cleaned out the horse’s stall in the barn, Mama Karper and I went to feed the kittens. OH! It was like meeting Travellar all over again! The grey tux, Mamasita (or Momosito if it’s a boy) was always hesitant towards Mama Karper…it took her weeks to get the kitten to warm up to her. And as soon as I stick my hand in the cage, it’s immediate attention. XD Mama Karper is so jealous, and I feel so bad…but ah well.

I’ll be taking the two grey kittens home with me sometime after they get their vaccinations on Thursday. You can’t see the pure grey one as well, but they’ve nicked named him/her Earl Grey, though his/her name will officially be Mishka…which is relatively gender friendly and reminds Karper of a drunk teacher he had once. >.<; I’m just excited over the name, because I love calling it out…and will have someone to call it out to! <3 The black kitten, Blacky or Onyx, will be staying to play with his/her big sister Rosa Lee in the house! He/she is quite smitten with Karper, and always goes looking for him whenever he’s in the barn.

Oh! And I caught a glimpse of their mother! Nearly thought that Mamasita had gotten out of the cage, only to realize that the size was all wrong. XD Mama Karper is working on capturing their mother, to get her vaccinated and fixed…just so there aren’t any more litters to take care of!

  1. Howdy, Little Tree Fairy! ^_^ Neat story about the goats, sheep and kitties. I used to watch the KUNG FU TV series when I was a kid and hope to see you with your hat and walking stick someday soon. ~hugs!~ Dennis
